Here are some new pictures of the TS Protege Blackout designed by Macho / Fat Joe. The low cost brand Protege, the company started by Al Harrington and Rodney Henry will be sold at K-Mart. The shoe, titled The Blackout will have an affordable price tag of $34.99. According to Joe, via ESPN.com:

They’re only $34.99, and they are crazy. If you know me, you know that I only wear fly things, and these are fly. I think in this economy it’s hard for kids to get sneakers that are $150 and up so I did something about it. And yes, you’ll see me in them during shows, in the videos or just chillin with my family.

    kanye should design some cheap kicks. first of all, if his name is involved with the kicks they’ll probably get more attention. and second of all, im sure he can make a better looking shoe than this

    It’s funny how people are hating on Fat Joe for this brilliant idea. He’s looking out for people (those who can’t afford Jordans or want to save their money on a pair of Air 1′s) by selling a nice looking shoe at a lower price. Give the man respect! These shoes would be easily favorited if Nike came out with them, but since it’s an mildly successful Hip-Hop artist, then people wanna downplay the shoe & overlook the concept. Grow up man! I’ll support the movement and buy a pair or two.
