The world suffered a huge loss with the death of untimely death of Micheal Jackson on June 25th and his presence will missed. He has always been tied into popular culture and what better time to take a look at his contribution to the sneaker culture than now. During the 80’s Jackson linked up with LA Gear for a a few pair of his own kicks. Done up in black leather and suede with studs and buckles the shoes were designed with the King of Pops’ sense of style in mind. These are collectors items and not scheduled for rerelease, just for remembrance. Rest in Peace Micheal Jackson, you will be missed. Via SneakerObsession

You spelled ‘Michael’ wrong.
Yeah, I can’t stand when people transpose to “Micheal” (Mickeel? McHeal?)
Anyway, on to the shoes, L.A. Gear could make a killing if they retroed these right about now.
Well for who ever may be interested… I have a VERY RARE pair of these LA Gear Boot top shoes pictured above that have never been worn, they have all the tags on and still wrapped in the box. They are extremely rare because unlike the silver buckles of all the shoes you see like the one above, The pair I have, all the silver is actually GOLD! I would sell them for 750USD. I live in Marin County, CALIFORNIA.
