Not since the Fallen Heroes pack has Nike paid respect, yet displayed such bitter sarcasm in a shoe design. The Nike Sky Force Low Michael Sugar Ray Richardson is inspired by Richardson’s nickname and career in the NBA. Michael Richardson was chosen over Larry Bird in the 1978 draft by the New York Knicks. He was labeled the new Walt “Clyde” Frasier; however, he was unable to live up to his name and was released from the Knicks. After failing several drug tests Richardson was banned from the NBA thus ending his career.
His shoe will hopefully have a much better history than he did. The white patent leather upper is covered in glitter along with the laces, tongue, heal, and outsole which gives a sugar coated effect to the sneaker. Also make note of the candy stripped ‘Sugar’ written on the insole. Get these today at the House of Hoops. Via: kixandthecity
