a-bathing-ape-bape-morning-sta-sneaker-1 Bathing Ape cleans up nice with this detailed tennis shoe. The simple leather upper employs embroidery and perforations to make a statement this time around. The only use of color is on the heel tab which is featured in blue or green. These cool lace ups were obviously inspired by the Adidas Stan Smith but definitely stand on their own as a good look for the summer months. Via Hypebeast

Bathing Apes come off like Pro Wings for douchebags with too much money. A knockoff is a knockoff regardless of whether or not a company considers itself premium.
One extra change (e.g. not-so-obvious colorway, or making it a mid) and they could have hit a home rum.
