The New Balance 498 model will get a re-introduction for the fall season. The model was 1st introduced in the year 2000 and now New Balance has decided to let the people at them with new colorways and textiles. Here’s the scoop:

Breathing new life into this core New Balance sneaker, New Balance is introducing new materials and colors to update the silhouette. Starting with the launch of a silver/black 498 in May, other color combinations will follow throughout Fall 2009 including green/silver, khaki/grey, purple/silver, brown/tan and grey/burgundy.The 498 features Abzorb cushioning in the heel and a C-Cap midsole for comfort, durability and resistance to compression. The synthetic/mesh upper of the shoe provides breathability and flex.

The shoes go on sale this August at retailers everywhere and will hit for $80USD.
