Adidas maintains their edge by staying a cut above the rest, literally. The Tennis Hi Lux Open has what appears to be arbitrary cuts in its all white leather upper but upon closer inspection the placement is strategic. The slices not only improve ventilation but are also there to reduce the overall weight of the sneaker. Another interesting thing they slices of leather do is camoflauge the 3 stripe design but the jagged ridges of the design brings it to the surface.
