Available n0w at Overkill is this pair of Puma First Rounds, which have been dubbed the Mecha King edition. They are part of Puma’s Monster Pack, and are modeled after the Mechagodzilla monster. They feature a eye-catching metallic silver upper along with rivet-like bumps along the upper, represent nuts an bolts. Other features include red accents, as well as an eye on the heel, known to many as the mecha-eye.
Mechagodzilla (メカゴジラ ,Mekagojira?) is a fictional character from various films in the Godzilla series, introduced in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1974). It is Godzilla’s mechanical doppelgänger and one of the most popular Toho kaiju.

The Mecha Kings are one of my least favorite out of this pack. The Lizoid (Godzilla) pair are extra nice though. I like the red vertical stripes in the back, but they should’ve incorporated more “robotic” looking features into the shoe. The “Screw” look comes close, but maybe those should’ve been grey instead of metallic to help them stand out. As is, they are obscured.
NOT REALLY FEELING THESE. THE COLORS WOULD OF BEEN OK IF THEY WERE THE OPPOSITE. ALL BLACK. BUT NOT A BIG FAN OF THESE. C-

These are pretty cool too. I’m not too sure where the red came from on them though, but they still have a really robotic feel to them. I like the studs on em and the embossed parts on the midsole that all look like bolts to add to the robotic feel.

Man these look like something kanye west would have worn in his stronger video. They do look futuristic but maybe they should have saved these for that time period. Not feelin these at all!!!
These are DOPE! The sole is a little weird and kind of throws the cw off, but this shoe will turn heads for sure. I love how they’re hi-top and that metalic silver is tooo ill. I could see my self rocking these. The red patent leather on the heel is a nice touch. Is there a desing in the gel sole? it looks like there is. The little metal accesories are a nice detail as well. THese are fire. GOOD JOB PUMA!
I like these, they kinda look like pimped out chucks. they mad like that, with the eye in the heel and the bolts, thats creative.
Puma has outdone themselves with these, to incorporate attributes of Mechagodzilla into this shoe is amazing! The metallic silver upper is very eye catching. You guys are spot on saying that in the article. I’m not even looking at these in person, they look so shiny. The rivet-like bumps, those are a creative touch with them representing nuts and bolts like Mechagodzilla has. The red accents go along with great with the metallic silver, and the mecha-eye on the heel is sweet. I”m sure Mechagodzilla got beat by Godzilla too.
