There’s no doubt that Converse is one of the most iconic sneaker brands in America, but with that the company also shines it’s influences in Japan. The island of Okinawa is said to have American like traits, which has become a perfect scenario for the company with the release of new colorways for the Chuck Taylor All Star and Skidgrip. The colors are quite vigorous which seems to be a pattern in the collection. The Jack Purcell approaches as the least eye popping of the group but still have positive outcome with it’s smooth woven texture. Via Hypebeast.

These Purcells are hyper fresh. Nice, clean, but eye-catching at the same time. The actual Okinawa pack doesn’t do much for me. The yellow sneaker is pretty nice looking, but it just isn’t something I’d ever be willing to wear.
THOSE ALL BLACK WITH ARE ILL. THE OTHER ONES ARE WACK. THAT PINK WITH ORANGE COULD PASS. BUT THEY STR8. C+

These and the ones next to the black ones are hot.The high top ones are too colorful.
The low chucks look alright, i like the weave look on them. The 2nd pair does look wayyy too much like vans, theyre almost identical. I actually do like the fade on them though, they used good color on them.

The black ones are sick and thats about it. Converse did it big with these low tops. But i’m not really feelin all those colors on these.

Okinawa has some style, the colorful Chuck Taylor’s and the Skidgrips are ok with me. Too me, the most eye popping ones are the Jack Purcell though because those are most conservative with the colorway out of the group. I agree with you guys on the woven texture being smooth. This is part of the reason Converse is so iconic.
I like the chucks better, the all black shoes is not very good, i like the chucks b/c there loaded with color and look great.
These all have me buggin out the colorful ones look so psychodelic lol and funky and that stitched ones look wild…idk that i particularly like any of these..but hey they look like they had fun making these C-/C
