Nike Shox BB4 - Now Available at House of Hoops

Nike Shox BB4 - Now Available at House of Hoops

The Nike Shox BB4 originally released in the year 2000 and was revolutionary in terms of basketball features. They sported the new (at the time) Nike Shox technology, which provided an advanced level of cushioning and support.

They were a hit with fanatics, as their famous Boing-Boing commercials could be seen everywhere. They have just been re-released exclusively to Footlocker’s House of Hoops, and sport a White/Metallic Silver-Lapis colorway. via Foot Locker.

I don’t recall these, and definitely don’t remember them being popular. I don’t like this shoe, myself. I don’t like the sharpish angles along the upper.

  8. CJ Douty says:

I dont really like these that much. The designs are too jagged and shox arent my first pick on basketball shoes. The colorway looks alright though, the silver really stands out a lot, but i think performance wise, theyre probly too heavy.

  9. james says:

  14. Mike.D says:

I remember these, I wanted them when they first came out in 2000. I don’t remember any “Boing Boing” commercials though, I wish I could. Anyway I like the color way, and I hope there’s more to come. Are these just at the House of Hoops though?

  15. i think i seen this on Michael J. Pagans feet in the movie Chain Letter…

  17. ^JOn^ says:

These are pretty fresh and i would love to hoop in them. Even though they first released in 2000 they still have a fururistic look to them. The colorway is also very clean too.

  18. sidanii says:

these look very bulky which is not a good look.I didnt much like them when they first came out and that hasnt changed. The shoe is dull especially in this colorway…C-

  24. max says:

dang! these kicks are HOT! they bringin back the retros! these came out along with the shox r4’s(running). if yall dont remember these, then i dont know where you came from! the bb4’s along with the r4’s were revolutionary in terms of design and comfort. an elevation in shoe performance. for those of you who can very well relate to these kicks, heres some thoughts for you to reminisce:

One of The Boing commercials had Gary Payton sportin a really big fro blabbin the whole isht in a dark gym then suddenly out of nowhere, VC jumps over him with the black-silver-blue bb4s.

And when Bowow was still a kiddo and had the tag Lil Bowow, he had the all blacks with red shox bb4s on him while he had some ballers doin freestylin all over the vid.

  25. D says:

Everyone had these back then. From these white/silver/blue’s(vc-home) to the black/silver/blue’s(vc-away) to the white/reds, white/blacks(j-will), black/reds(darius miles), black on black, and down to the blue/golds. The first time the world ever laid eyes on these was when Team USA (Kidd, Carter, etc) wore these in the 2000 Olympic games in Sydney. This was when Vince jumped over that 7footer and slammed the ball home. Since then, swarms of chitchat about the dunk, the player(vc), and the shoes(BB4) ran throughout the whole world. And yeah, max is right, these came out along with those R4 running shox.
Come on Nike! Stop teasing! Bring them out will you! Enough of the limited release with these. Anyway they were a general release back then!

  26. Jeff says:

These shoes were absolutely sick, I played ball in them in 2001, and they quickly became my favorite shoes I have ever work, even until this day, the colorway I had was white with a navy blue patent leather stripe down the side. not only were these awesome to play ball in, these things could turn a head when you wore them out, as i did after the season, and yeah, the “Boing” were definitely advertising genious, i couldnt get that damn boing out of my head, until i bought these things, i want a re-release of these so badly, and even if they were to be priced at what they were when they came out ($150) or if they jack up the price a bit, i would not hesitate to buy about 3 or 4 of them, they were that good
