Vans J-Lay - Gravel / Plum

Since turning pro since 2005, Johnny “J-Lay” Layton has done a lot in the skating world, not the least of which includes designing his own shoe.

Vans offers Johnny’s update of the brand’s classic design with the Vans J-Lay – Gravel / Plum.

Quite a looker, the J-Lay comes in a grey and purple canvas upper, in muted tones that look and feel vintage.  The look of the shoe, inspired by the 60s and 70s-era rock scene, is both sporty and fashionable.

In terms of performance, this low-profile pair of kicks is light yet shock-absorbing.  The durable canvas material breathes well, while the vulcanized waffle gripping outsole gives great board feel.

Available at your local Vans retailers.  Rock on, J-Lay.
