Nike Zoom LeBron 6 (VI) - Akron Edition

Nike

This past weekend was big for the NBA as they celebrated their All Star Weekend. Saturday night was big for a few reasons. Besides the Superman vs Kryptonate ordeal, LeBron James had some big news as he announced that he would be taking part in the 2010 Dunk Contest. He was also dressed to impress, notable, his shoes, which were in fact a new colorway in the Nike Zoom LeBron 6 (VI).

They have been dubbed the Akron Editions, and are inspired by the University of Akron. Although he never attended college, he still feels the need to show love to his home roots. The shoes feature a white toe along with navy blue side panels that include detailed images of LeBron’s home city, right down to the sign from the street he grew up on.

Finishing of the shoes are gold accents along with the University of Akron logo inside the collar as an added touch. No word yet on a release date, but you can expect to see these drop at Footlocker’s House of Hoops. via SoleCollector.
