For some reason, sneaker fanatics always tend to have a love-hate relationship with gold shoes. While some find them trendy and love the bright design that is bound to turn heads, others find them difficult to even look at. In a society where trends are in and then out in what seems like only a few hours, it is hard to tell how fanatics will react to a pair of gold shoes. But what makes them so popular to those that love ‘em? And for those who find them hideous, what is it about them that you can’t stand.
Gold sneakers have been of our culture for a long time. You can even think as far back as Michael Johnson wearin a pair of his gold-dipped track spikes back in the 1996 Olympics. Jay-Z also has his memorable moments in Gold shoes from his appearance in Rihanna’s Umbella video. As recently as a few weeks ago, Puma released their 24k collaboration shoe with UNDFTD.
The point we are trying to get across is that gold shoes have been part of our culture for years, and as of right now there is no telling where it will end.
Here we feature just a few pics of some of the most well noted gold colored shoes. We definitely want you guys to give us some feedback. via Complex.
