We mentioned in our previous post of the Air Jordan 1 (I) Low – Curry Elephant Print that you would be seeing several releases in the classic Air Jordan 1 (I) model this year. Here we feature what may be on of the nicest. This high ankle version of the classic shoe is inspired by the album artwork of the 1993 acclaimed album Midnight Marauders by A Tribe Called Quest. They feature a black upper constructed primarily from tumbled leather, along with a black, red, and green pattern on the toe box and quarter panels which draw inspiration from the album artwork. They have officially been labeled the Air Jordan 1 (I) Retro High Strap Sole to Sole, but many are nicknaming them A Tribe Called Quest Air Jordan 1 (I) or Midnight Marauders Air Jordan 1 (I). They will only be available at select urban accounts and each one will only receive 24 pairs. No word yet as to a specific release date but Jordan Brand is aiming for a February 2009 release.Photo Via Niketalk
