Everyone knows that Nike has always aimed to dominate every sport known to man with their products. Just recently they designed the Nike Martial Arts TD – Black & White created specifically for any type of combat sport. Nike now has their goals set on the sport of soccer and they claim to have created the “World’s Lightest Soccer Boot.”  It would be hard to doubt that they have achieved this title for the shoe displayed here. Nike has spent three years developing and perfecting this shoe model. The  Nike Mercurial Vapor SL is composed of a one-piece 100% carbon fibre construction. Say goodbye to the leather or nubuck uppers of the past.

Aside from being incredibly light (weighing in at 190 grams – 7 oz – or half the weight of a Zoom Kobe IV) the shoe is set to bring in a whole new feeling of ball control for athletes. These shoes are already sold out and sell for a retail price of $400. We think these shoes are only for the pros! Via CarbonFiberGear.

These are crazy. The look really uncomfortable though. Of course nike will be the ones to make the lightest soccer shoe ever. Thats a pretty high price though… really really high price actually. I’m surprised they didnt even use flywire in them, i wonder if that would make them even lighter, or is it even good to be any lighter than this?
