Earlier on we posted the Saucony Candy Pack - Shadow 6000 and now New Balance is releasing their version of candy flavored kicks. The New Balance 996 Candy Pack - Spring 2009 Collection will feature some sugar based design styles. The inspiration for the first colorway was undoubtedly from M$M’s but NB did not sign a deal with the chocolate company, rather the shoes feature “mock” M$M’s, little multi-colored polka dots that cover the inner tongue and a little candy with the letter “n” printed on it for an eyelet. This shoe model also uses pink and purple for the colorway.
The other colorway was undoubtedly inspired by a chocolate bar and is made of a metallic silver colorway resembling an aluminum foil chocolate candy bar wrapper. The shoes are set to release in the Spring of 2009. Via Random Ramblings.

the first ones are actually the best pair of new balances ive ever seen
Well they did a terrible job with the colorway for the M&Ms. The tag inside the tongue is cool but on the outside, what happened? There are so many colors in a bag of M&Ms and they only but 2 on the outside? Thats lame, come on new balance, this was such a good idea. The silver pair looks nice, but they are just inspired by a chocolate bar, not an actual candy bar. Its just not the same..
I have seen better new balanece then these.
