Robert Williams is an astounding artist and the founder of Juztapoz Art and Culture Magazine. Vans has teamed up with the genius to create a pair of kicks from the Vans Vault. The two models featured in the Vans Vault x Robert Williams Collaboration are the Era low top and the Chukka Mid. The classic models are re-designed in both black and red colorways covered with an artwork style referred to as “cartoon-tainted abstract surrealism.” Williams’ drawings really come to life on these kicks and bring Williams’ influence on streetweat culture and the footwear industry into full light. Normally i hate Chukkas. A LOT. But with the comics on the side and the checkers, they arent so bad. I like both pairs actually. I’ve never heard of the guy who designed em, but he aint that bad at shoes.
If these just had red checkers, and not the comics these would be so dope, they still are though
