It is not clear upon first glance why this version of the Reebok Dual Pumper is meant for Valentine’s Day. Maybe the red splattered paint across the grey colorway is meant to represent heartache? What do you think? Some speculate the red is meant to be splattered blood which symbolizes a more dismal and bloody part of the history of Valentine’s Day. The Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre is the name given to the death of seven people as part of a Prohibition conflict between two powerful criminal gangs in Chicago, Illinois in the winter of 1929 February 14th.
Either way, Reebok has decided to bring back the Dual Pump Runner which originally released in 1993. These shoes feature not one pump system, but two; one on each side of the shoe for maximum comfort and support. This model is also available in an all red colorway for the heart-filled holiday. The splatter look is cool on the outer side of the shoe, but on the inside theres wayy too much red. I mean, there should be a lot of it, but making ALL of it red is just too much. THe designs and stitching on them has too much going on also.
Ive never seen the pump on the side before, i still dont like the shoe though
