Cooke never realized while walking into class on the first day of the 5th grade, that his entire life would change. Fitted in the only thing his mother could afford at the time, a pair of Payless sneakers, he walked into a classroom of peers who immediately started taking shots. From that embarrassment came determination and Cooke began hustling. He cut grass, shoveled snow, raked leaves, made ringtones; basically did whatever he could to make some money. Once he had a few dollars in his pocket, Cooke began collecting. The one pair of shoes he absolutely loves is the Jordan 11s. Since he couldn’t afford them when they first came out, he stacked his chips, stood in line for 2 hours and picked up the 11/12 package. His main love is Nikes, but can also be seen in New Balance and reppin’ his city in a pair of DC’s. Cooke’s love of sneakers is not just a trend, it is a lifestyle.

Cooke keep on pushing, working hard and keep getting shoes. I was just like you, my mother could only afford the cheap shoes; and all my other friends and other peers around school had the “fresh” shoes. Furthermore, I started to work continuously, and I finally was able to purchase my own “fresh” shoes. Now I can buy shoes anytime I feel like it, because I have my career in motion. Keep on pushing and shoe collecting has to start from somewhere. In addition, there is always going to be haters rooming the street and internet; and you have to just keep your head up.

Do your thang homie, I dont have a huge collection cause my parents didnt have dough like that when I was coming up. But, when I was able to work I started a little collection and then I went to college and had to slow down. I got back in the game when I graduated and was buying like 3-5 pair a month. Now I got a kid on the way so I have to slow down again. I make sure my responsibilities before I build my collection. I know some people are throwing out huge number and probably live home with their moms.
