Available now at the Nike Sportswear store is this collection of Nike Lunar Racers [Black Collection]. The Nike Lunar Racer features some of Nike’s newest technology, called Lunarlite Foam, which is said to be one of the lightest cushioning innovations in sneaker history. Like the Nike Lunatrainer, the Luna Racer uses this technology, but features Flywire filaments. Flywire is revolutionary, shaving off weight without comprising any features, and adding strength. Lunarlite foam features a unique cell structure making it lightweight and ultra responsive as a cushioning system. The picture above shows five colorways, all which feature predominantly black uppers along with strong accents. The only one that hasn’t been released yet is the yellow version, and is set to hit retailers in May 2009.

I’ve actually held these in person, there extremely light. If I was a runner I’d definatly wear them

These do look like really good running shoes. I will probly cop a pair for track next season. I dont like how they are colored though, the midsole should be black and make the upper colored.

I currently use the grey/green version of these shoes. They provide good support and cushioning, which is remarkable since its a light shoe. I regular run 14- 22 miles in these shoes, and my feet are well supported on the runs.
