The year 2009 will mark Adidas 60 year Anniversary! As expected, they will be going all out to celebrate and they are certainly off to a good start with the new diamond encrusted Superstars, part of the exclusive Adidas Diamond Pack.
The Superstar is given a glam makeover with six 0.2 carat diamonds positioned in between the 3 trademark stripes. Also look out for stunning Swarovski crystals gently placed on the tongue and lacelocks. And just when you thought that it couldn’t get any better, the tongue ornament is removable and may be worn as a bling blangin’ necklace. An Adi Trefoil matching T-shirt is also available, featuring 409 Swarovski crystals.
The shoes won’t be available until January 31st in Taiwan and will be priced at $24,000 TWD ($721) AND $2,280 TWD ($69) for the tee. Via Hype Beast.

These are nice, they dont need the diamonds to make them fresh.
They dont NEED the diamonds. Keyword = need. The diamonds make them way more sick i think. Even if they do cost 24 Gs. I would really enjoy looking at rich people wearing them. Just imagine what adidas will do for their 100th anniversary. Its pretty hard.
