In order to commemorate the 15th anniversary of Slap Magazine, Nike SB got together with the skateboarding magazine and collaborated on this pair of Nike SB Air Zoom Abingtons. Many SB collectors are more into Dunks and Blazers, but the Air Zoom Abington is a big hit with true SB heads as well. The concept of the Nike SB Air Zoom Abington stems from the concept of the indoor Soccer shoe, which was adopted by Nike, but modified to include such features as a low profile phylon midsole, anatomically contoured footbeds, hidden lace protection system , elastic centering straps, and a thick mesh tongue for ventilation and breathability. They also feature Nike’s ppatented Zoom Air insoles for added comfort. This collaboration version consists of black and blue premium leather and suede on the upper, along with the Slap logo on the back heel. The roman numerals XV are embroidered on the toe area, and the insoles feature a collage of fifteen years worth of classic Slap Magazine cover shots. They recently hit select Nike SB accounts, and are now available.

These are skate shoes? These look way more like something you’d wear for indoor soccer. The black and blue colorway is nice, but i’m just not feelin the overall design on these.
Im not feeling these shoes at all, the only thing i like is the inner sole
It’s hard to tell in these shots, but the trim on the heel as well as the eyelets for laces is made from Cord. These are some of my favorite low key sneakers from 2008
