As if Kobe Bryant didn’t have it all already, you can add another check to his checklist. Although he did not win an NBA championship this past season, he did win MVP, which was definitely overdue. He is also the spokeperson and athlete featured in the Nike Hyperdunk campaign, which is looking up to be one of Nike’s hottest shoes of all time, and now we have a preview of his next signature model, the Nike Zoom Kobe 4 (IV). They will feature flywire technology, a herringbone pattern outsole, and the use of lunar foam. We have three color schemes featured here, the first of which is due to release in January 2009. KObe deserves better than these shoes! It looks like a running shoes! Adidas can design better than this!!! Adidas EQT elevation and the crazy 8 were nicer than this. the shoes kobe used to wear back in the day. Come on nike you can do better than this!!! They are ugly!!! come on nike!!! Give some justice not just for marketing!! Just because the player wearing this shoe is famous doesnt mean you got to design simple and ugly shoes just to make the marketing a hit!! give some justice will yah!!!!!

The overall shape of the shoe is nice. Very simple and sleek, and it looks like that it’ll be a nice snug fit for your feet. But the design is disastrous! There’s no cohesion at all whatsoever! It looks like it’s 3 different shoes in 1. You’ve got the front of the shoe that looks like an updated Air Force 1 look, the side and back of the shoe looks like the Hyperdunks, and the top of the shoe (just under the ankles) looks like a graphic version of his old “spider webbing” from his older kobe zoom 3s. The sole from the side view is nice though and the sole on the bottom…who cares!
I’m definitely disappointed with the overall look of the shoe! You’d think that Nike designers would come up with something better than this. I know that Kobe would have his imputs too, but I do think that the overall responsibility goes on the designer! I’m an artist, I draw and design in animation. Let me tell you, my directors would give me input on what they like and what they would like to see, but it’s up to me to come up with the final designs. My name’s on the line, and my rep. I would do whatever it takes to not give them what they “like” if I thought that it would ruin the overall design.
Maybe Kobe has bad taste and have no design sense…but I’ll tell you what, to everyone else out there that sees this shoe, they’ll think the exact same thing of the designer!
These shoes are looking bomb, stop hating just cuz there not hightops. Ima buy them as soon as they come out. CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!! To be the first at the gym rocking these babies. MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont even remember when the kobes first came out. I dont know if they were really hyped or anything like that, but i imagine they would be and like 11.something ounces.
