We first spotted Carmelo Anthony wearing the Air Jordan Melo M4 last Fall during a charity game in Beijing to support the Special Olympics, the China Hope Project and the Chi Heng Foundation, which benefits Chinese orphans with AIDS. The shoe is inspired by wood, which is Carmelo’s Chinese astrological sign. The inspiration is consistent with the shoe, as it features wood grain panels, as well as bland, earthtone colors across the shoe.
