We first spotted Carmelo Anthony wearing the Air Jordan Melo M4 last Fall during a charity game in Beijing to support the Special Olympics, the China Hope Project and the Chi Heng Foundation, which benefits Chinese orphans with AIDS. The shoe is inspired by wood, which is Carmelo’s Chinese astrological sign. The inspiration is consistent with the shoe, as it features wood grain panels, as well as bland, earthtone colors across the shoe. The back of the shoe consists of a map of Shen Yang and Guangzhou that pay tribute to the first Jordan Brand store in China, which is the same location where this special edition shoe was released. via NiceKicks.

I didnt realle like the shoe from a side view, but in reality even with the wood, the shoe looks pretty good. maybe they can just fix the colorway a lil’, because i dont like it. but it stills good. i’d buy it but im not in china

I really like that colorway. They would make for a nice pair of casual shoes or just for collecting. The wood grain on the toe is a pretty good look for them too.
