Here is a preview of the Piet Mondrian - Nike Dunk Low SB which are set to hi retail stores thie holiday season 2008. The multicolored color-way is inspired by the artist Piet Mondrian and one of his 1921 piece “Composition with Red, Yellow and Blue” which uses thick black lines to separate the color forms.
Pieter Cornelis (Piet) Mondriaan was a Dutch painter. He was an important contributor to the De Stijl art movement and group, which was founded by Theo van Doesburg. He evolved a non-representational form which he termed Neo-Plasticism. This consisted of a grid of vertical and horizontal black lines and the use of the three primary colours. via Wiki

Wow, art on your feet!
i love these just like the painting!!!!!! masterpiece
[...] was impressed that I knew Mondrian, but it’s really because Nike recently released a pair of shoes inspired by his later work. [...]
i cant see the mondrain right angle in the shoe. somehow not really convincing as a translation of mondrain drawing to this shoe.
Where a can you buy the sneaks?
cool
[...] famous Mondrain design has been used by other top brands such as Nike as seen in kicksonfire and Vans on their trainer [...]
um… Mondrian was most focused on straight lines and these things are all curvilinear. I suppose it’s hard to make a pair of shoes shaped like a box. But Clementine had them!
i love i’t
what store is selling these?

These are really cool.I’m doing a project at school for art and we have to get and object like an old shoe, box etc. and paint mondrian’s design on it!
