Many basketball fanatics may not know this, but Gilbert Arenas is of Cuban descent, and his latest pair of Adidas Gill II Zero’s pay homage to his heritage. He also loves to eat at a restaurant called Benihana, which is the inspiration behind one of the shoe designs, with “Benihana” stitched in at the heel of the shoe. The Cuba version features a red / white / blue colorway with “Cuba” stitched onto the heel, while the Benihana version features a red / black / white colorway. Make sure you guys head out and check your local sneaker shops for availability.

The red /black / white colorway is inspired by Benihana, a restaurant the Gilbert loves to eat at, and has the name stitched onto the heel. Make sure you check out your local Adidas retailers for availability. via KicksonFire. [...]
