We reported on the Nike SB P-Rod 2 - Tinker Hatfield, a few weeks back and instantly, we were stormed with Nike SB fans who wanted more details. Well here is a detailed look at the Nike Paul Rodriguez (P-Rod) II (2) SB - Hat Rod (Tinker Hatfield) which has already released in Honk Kong, China. The lead designer for this shoe is the legendary Tinker Hatfield who is highly recognized for his contribution to the Air Jordans legacy. In this particular design, T. Hatfield takes inspiration and elements from two sources: Air Jordan 12 (XII) and Air Jordan 15 (XV). The use of the black woven material on the side of the shoe is extremely similar to the Air Jordan 15 (XV). Other than that, most of the aspect of this shoe are derived from the Air Jordan 12 (XII), from the University Blue used on the sole and toe cap, the texture of the toe cap, the “rising sun” pattern and lastly the metal lace loops for the top two lace holes.
