The history of these Reebok Pump D-Time can be traced back to 1991 when Dee Brown won the Slam Dunk contest after dunking the ball covering his face. Brown wore the Reebok Pump D-Time and even pumped them before attempting his dunk! It certainly worked. Brown’s dunk was immortalized on posters that graced bedroom walls all over the country, and he became synonymous with the Reebok Pump, when the only shoe in town was something called the Air Jordan.
