The Air Raid originally hit the scene in 1992, and a few more colorways landed in 93. Back in the day the Air Raid was simply known as the “Criss Cross” shoe, and they were often compared to the Air Jordan 8 due to the similar strap units. The black/grey colorway is probably the most popular, but the “Peace Raid” series that Spike Lee help endorse is still highly sought after by many collector’s. The “Peace Raid” series came in two colorways (black & white). Their colorful midsoles paid homeage to African American art. “Live Together“ ”Play Together” (black pair) and “One World” “One Team” (white pair) that was featured on the back tabs made positive statements plus they came with a peace sign located on the center of the strap. Next year Nike will release an all white non-OG “Peace Raid” with the same colorful midsole. Check out the new edition of the “Peace Raid” after the jump, and both Raid’s will drop in Summer 2008. via NTinfomaniac (NT)
P.S. – Have you ever seen the “Peace Raid” with the wood midsole? On the back it reads “No Wood” “No Refs”, one word “RARE”.
