I’m pretty sure you’ve heard the news by now about ATL’s own Michael Vick. If you haven’t heard Vick was recently indicted on dogfighting charges. The arraignment is next week in Richmond, VA federal courtroom on charges of sponsoring a dogfighting operation. No one likes bad press on them and you bet your last dollar Vick is extremely pissed on the decision he made with this entire dogfighting ring. Let’s not forget about Nike, you should definitely know Nike doesn’t want any part of this bad press that Vick has caused. Therefore Nike has decided to suspend the release of the Zoom Vick 5 that was originally set to drop on August 23rd for a retail of $100. Nike calls this matter “highly disturbing”, but they haven’t terminated his contract because he deserves the same process as any citizen.

According to Sports Illustrated Vick’s Nike products totaled $7 million this year. Wow, that’s some serious bread and it’s only July. Well folks that’s the breaking news on the Vick 5’s. Seeing that I live in Atlanta I hope the Falcons decide to keep him on the team, because Jesus knows we need him. I don’t even want to think about the Falcons without Vick, it’s like the Bulls back in the day without MJ. On the flip side once the smoke clears and Vick dishes out several millions of dollars, I hope he learns this expensive and valuable lesson. Someone needs to talk to Vick and his brother A.S.A.P, because if they keep their behavior up it’s not going to be pretty touchdown dancing in the end.
