I told you we couldn’t promise that the previous update was our last on the Vans and Simpsons news. Everyone that’s been tracking the news on this amazing collabo knows today (7/14) was the official release date. Limited to 100 pairs per style and a total of 14 different sneakers which makes 1,400 pairs in all. They were only available at 10 shops in the US. Don’t waste your time calling either, everyone is sold out. TSG staff was on hand in NYC at Dave’s Quality Meat.

He reports that he arrived at DQM at 10am, and was #60 in line. As you can imagine the highly sought after KAWS and Stash Vans were the first to sell out. Read what else Ray had to say and check out a few more pics from the DQM release after the jump. The line was crazy long, and I heard it was super hot. All we can say is if you need a pair hit eBay A.S.A.P.

Ray says: Gone for a while but I’m back, bringing our loyal readers the Simpsons and Vans release over at DQM in NYC. It was wild, I got there around 10am and I got on the line around the corner. The more I moved up the longer the line got behind me, I didn’t think this release would be that serious. Although I must say, there was a big variety in the type of people that were in line. You had Simpsons fans who just wanted the sneakers, the usual hypebeast wearing expensive hoodys in 90-degree weather, little kids and their parents, avid DQM supporters, and Vans lovers. Boy it was baking on that line! I got in around 12:30pm. I wanted the Neckfaces until I found out it was Lisa on the shoes instead of Bart. Overall it was a great line, DQM is always customer friendly. The price was $162 with tax included which was steep compared to Bodega’s retail price. The Krusty Sk8 Hi’s are pretty dope and the box is on point. 8 pairs of 14 different styles (112 pairs total) were available today at DQM, 1 per customer and I was able to get a pair. That feels pretty good for being #60 in line. The KAWS and Stash pair sold out immediately (not surprised). Anyways this was a great event to report on, wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.
